Who Are Putney & Sons?

The business was established in 1956 by the late Joseph Putney and has been owned and managed by his eldest son Kevin since 1997. It is now in its fourth generation of Putney's.

We are proud of our reputation for quality and excellence, built up over years of professional service to our business partners and domestic customers.

We offer competitive pricing for quality workmanship and we always work hard to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget. To make certain that this happens, all our projects are managed by either Kevin or his brother Darren, the company's contracts manager and all the quotations are priced by the company quantity surveyor James.

Lime Plastering Images

Lime plaster is a type of plaster composed of lime, sand and water. Lime plaster is similar to Lime mortar, the main difference is based on the use rather than composition.

Traditional lime plaster contains horse hair to reinforce plaster.

Lime Plaster has been used for hundreds of years and was replaced with modern day plastering techniques around 70 years ago, yet to restore older properties to their original finishes requires the traditional methods such as the use of lime plaster and mortar.

Whilst working at the FCO on behalf of Mace, J.E. Putney & Sons ensured that the plastering elements of an extremely complex and logistically challenging project were completed on time and to the highest standards to satisfy an extremely demanding governmental client.

During their time on the project J.E. Putney & Sons were always understanding of our need to adapt to changes in client requirements or extensions of scope and were able to demonstrate a flexible and proactive approach at all times without compromising on quality.

J.E.Putney & Sons also showed their commitment to the project by getting involved with our initiative to engage with the local community by sponsoring a local football team. Parkfield Youth FC were extremely grateful for the generous offer to supply them with a new football kit.

I would have no hesitation in recommending J.E. Putney & Sons to any potential clients and look forward to working with them again in the future.

Pawsons Road, Baptist Church

On behalf of the members and congregation of Pawsons Road Baptist Church, I would like to thank you for the excellent work you have done on the church building.

A mere "Thank you" seems a very inadequate response to your outstanding professionalism and courtesy. We feel you really have gone the extra mile for us and it is much appreciated. It has been a real pleasure to have you working with us.
We wish you every blessing in your future work.
