Lime plaster is type of plaster composed of lime, sand and water. Lime plaster is similar to Lime mortar, the main difference is based on the use rather than composition.
Traditional lime plaster contains horse hair to reinforce plaster.
Lime Plaster has been used for hundreds of years and was replaced with modern day plastering techniques around 70 years ago, yet to restore older properties to their original finishes requires the traditional methods such as the use of lime plaster and mortar.
